practicing mindful gratitude
Thanksgiving always brings time for reflection and expression of gratitude. We hold gratitude for so much - things as big as our family, friends, and health, and things as small as our favorite coffee shops and the light that comes through our windows in the morning. The list of things we feel grateful for is never-ending and ever-expanding. This is the case for most of us, yet we all can easily forget to recognize our gratitude in the business of our day to day lives.
There is so much power in acknowledging our gratitude. Bringing conscious awareness to all we are grateful for and expressing that to ourselves and others brings us positive energy and a sense of grounding. In the spirit of the holiday, we are sharing a journal prompt to encourage the practice of mindful gratitude - this week and all other times of the year :)
GRATITUDE JOURNALING <3
What would you one year ago think about how much you’ve grown?
What kind of things helped you get where you are today?
Who helped you get there?
You did ____ and that was all I could ask for :)
How can you show yourself and others gratitude for your growth?
Make a call. Send a note. Give a hug, etc.
Name 3 people you want to send intentions to :)
What impact do they have on you?
I couldn’t do _____ without you because …
What do you value most about your relationship?
What have you learned from this person?
How can you show yourself gratitude?
What are you most proud of?
What have you done to set yourself up for all of the greatness ahead?
I’ve stayed consistent & persistent in ___…
What can you do to thank yourself for YOU?
I will express gratitude the same way I would toward a friend. I will buy myself flowers :) …etc.
However you celebrate this week, we hope you enjoy time with people you love and find a moment to practice mindful gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving from your thinking of you team <3
